News from Heaven......

Nov 7, 07 Hey ya'll, it's your girl HD..... and I thank you for your love and support.  Each time I see one of and you ask 'When is the next CD coming out?', I am so happy that you like what I do.   I have been really busy lately with festivals, supporting acts, corporate events, parties and weddings.   I've been gathering songs for the next CD which I hope to have completed for  next year.  I'll keep you posted.  My Myspace page is up and running and I really had fun doing it.  I got help from my friend Randy's daughter.   Please go and check it out and join me as a friend. 

It's the holiday season so don't forget we're available for parties.  More news later....

Heaven eligible for BET Nomination                             Jan 2, 07......Heaven has been informed that she is eligible for a BET Awards nomination.  Heaven says..'I'm so excited by the possibility, that I can't image what it would be like to actually get nominated'.  We'll see........in the meantime congratulations to all the nominees'.

'Regrets' 19 weeks on Billboards Top 25'                 October 13, 2006....After and incredible 19 weeks on in the top 25 Hot R&B and Hip Hop Sales chart, 'Regrets' dropped to no. 42.  The very next week it made a u-turn back into the top 25 landing at no.19.  "My God is simply incredible', says Heaven.  "I'm loving every minute of it.  I am so humbled".

'Regrets' holding in Top Ten on Billboard Charts.........             August 16, 2006..... After 11 weeks 'Regrets' remains in the top ten on Billboard's Hot R&B Hip Hop Single Sales Chart. Currently in position no. 9

Regrets' hits Top 5 on Billboard Charts...........               June 27, 2006....After 5 weeks on the charts 'Regrets' is at No. 4 on the charts this week.

'Regrets' at No 8.....               June 19, 2006.... After three weeks on Billboard's Hot R&B and Hip Hop Singles Sales chart 'Regrets' has moved into the number eight position. 

'Regrets' debuts on Billboard at number 18.....      June 2, 2006.....Heaven's release 'Regrets' debuted on Billboards Hot R&B and Hip Hop Singles Sales charts at number 18.  She is in the company of another sister from the ATL India Arie and the likes of Chris Brown and Busta Rhymes.  Heaven says she is thrilled.

Heaven to open for Buddy Guy at The Atlanta Botanical Gardens.                            Heaven will open for Buddy Guy at The Atlanta Botanical Gardens June 9, 2006.   This is sure to be a hot ticket so get yours early.   Heaven says "It's great to be opening and it will be good to see Mr. Buddy again.  It's been a long time. 

'Regrets' Released as a single..

Regrets one of the standout cuts from the hot debut CD 'Steamy' from Heaven Davis will be released in June 2006 as a single.  The song written by Richard Fleming and Gene Cook is causing a "who's that" everywhere it's played.  Davis says it's a tribute to lover's everywhere.

Heaven Signs National Distribution Deal.......

June 2006...You can now find 'Steamy' at your local music store or ask them to order it.  Heaven has signed a national distribution deal with RPM putting the sensational release 'Steamy' in a store near you.  Please go out and ask for it!!

Heaven Davis, Lady Bianca and Janiva Magness SELL OUT Atlanta History Center 2 days in a row!!!!!!!!!                              The Nothin But The Blues Series-Wild Women Sings the Blues sold out two consecutive nights at the Atlanta History Center.  Here's what Heaven had to say, " Both nights were magical.  The dynamic Lady Bianca, Sassy Janiva and I were like hot gumbo and I'm proud to say the crowd loved it.  It was a great!  I look forward to working with them again".

And the word is out for 2005...................

Heaven makes the finals in The Blues Foundation's 2006 'Best Self Produced CD' competition!! 

The Blues Foundation has announced the four finalists for the Best Self Produced CD competition.   We are happy to announce that Heaven, representing The Atlanta Blues Society is among the finalist.    The winner will be announced January 28 at the IBC band finals. 

 Here's what Heaven had to say: 

"I'm happy to be amongst the finalist. I give all the glory to God, who has arranged this amazing journey for me.   I  have to thank all the fabulous musicians who gave their time and energy to make this project happen.  I love you all!   I am honored that the Atlanta Blues Society nominated my CD to represent them, particularly against such strong contenders like Delta Moon and Chick Willis, both highly successful in their own rights. This CD will always represent a very special time in my life.  It has received so many wonderful accolades from across the world.    I thank God for the writers who were kind enough to share their talents.   And of course, all my loving fans old and new.    Winning.....I'm already a winner".
